How did you become a hairstylist?

When I was 10, my grandmother used to have me cut and perm her hair while she watched her stories. She would hold her hair out and show me how to follow a guide for an even cut. Then we rolled her perm. I loved how she lit up when we were done and  there began my obsession with the beauty industry.

 

Why are you a hairstylist?

In this time of healing and learning to love ourselves, self expression is essential!

I always found peace in altering my appearance to reflect who I was on the inside. It stared with makeup, progressed to late night bathroom sessions to lighten my hair with peroxide and then dye it with kool-aid, then came piercings and quickly after, my obsession with tattoos followed. Having a service provider who you trust, connect with and gets your style is priceless. I feel so lucky to be trusted by so many amazing and beautiful people, who all carry their own amazing gifts and talents. Our time together truly fulfills me.

 

What do you enjoy doing outside of the salon?

I like to study plant medicine as well as other health related stuff. After having my own health issues, the human body and all its functions have become a big area of fascination. I’m also big on outdoors and connecting with nature and am a huge fan of binge-streaming.
